Please let me take a minute to give you a little background on my Professional life.  A native of Pennsylvania (PA), and a graduate of Big Beaver Falls Senior High School. I moved to California in 1976 while serving in the United States Air Force.  My first 5 years in CA were spent in the Central Valley, in the City of Atwater, where I coached  youth football.  Moved to the Sacramento Region in 1982, so that I could attend CA State University, Sacramento (CSUS).  Lived in the new City of Rancho Cordova, where I had the opportunity to coach high school football, in the Cordova/Folsom School District under legendary coach Max Miller, at Mills Junior High School. 

 

Graduating from CSUS in the 1980s with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Marketing), I was quickly hired into Sales in the highly competitive Information Technology industry with the second largest company in the industry at the time, Digital Equipment Corporation.  From there I spent the next 24 years working for some of the largest companies in the world, where I received extensive training, and was polished in Professional Sales, Marketing, and Support of very high end clients. Making sure there needs were met, or exceeded was always my top priority. I worked for organizations such as General Electric, NYNEX, and PacTel. 

 

In 1978 I purchased my first investment property. It was in PA. I held it as a rental for 24 years. I purchased my first home in CA in 1986 in the newly developing Natomas area. I have lived, and raised my child in the Natomas area. Purchased an investment property in Natomas in 1992, which I still have. Purchased a home in the newly developed Natomas Park community in 2001. Currently I have rentals in Natomas, Granite Bay, New Mexico, North Carolina, and PA. I have a keen understanding of investment properties. In 2005 I became a Real Estate Broker, working for myself EDX Realty Services. In April of 2009 I joined Lyon Real Estate, where I plan to help Lyon clients with a WIN - WIN - WIN scenario. 

 

I can tell you from experience in the Real Estate Investment business, always have your prospective property inspected by a certified Home Inspector.  The cost is small compared to making a bad investment.  When purchasing your own Home to live in, especially if you are a first time buyer, remember if you are deciding to purchase in a New Development you should look at the community for what it is now, or what your willing to make it.  The community may change several times in the first 10 years, so be prepared to work to make it what you want.  If you're selling your property, time on the market is one of the most critical issues, and working with a strong, trusted, and knowledgeable Realtor is going to help shorten that time tremendously.
